Progress Care Housing Association has enjoyed significant growth over the years and the Development Team have been instrumental in capturing and delivering schemes in new geographical locations outside its original core areas of business.
We have recently been involved in LiLAC, a £60M PFI initiative working in partnership with Leeds City Council to provide homes for 343 adults with learning disabilities. We were instrumental in the initial negotiations, particularly related to the design and planning issues.The team has a broad range of knowledge and experience in dealing with all types of developments from new build to purchasing existing properties on the open market which can then be adapted to meet the long-term sustainable needs of tenants nominated to live in these properties.
Other examples include the delivery of 9 properties in two phases on behalf of Norfolk Learning Difficulties Service to accommodate 23 people.The Development Team designed bespoke housing solutions to meet the complex long term sustainable needs of the client groups and delivered these homes within agreed budgets and timescales.
The Development Team are currently working on other large Campus Resettlement Programmes won through a competitive tendering process in the London Borough of Merton, Hampshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Durham.
The Development Team have recently delivered Ashcombe Court for the London Borough of Sutton as part of its Campus Resettlement Programme due to the closure of Orchard Hill Hospital.Ashcombe Court is the first of four new build schemes being developed on behalf of the local authority and the PCT.Each of the four schemes contain 10 larger than average self-contained flats together with communal areas and staff sleepover/office accommodation. These four new build schemes are bespoke developments designed to meet the specific needs of this client group with a contract value in excess of £12million.
