The Development Team has secured HCA funding for a number of schemes on behalf of New Progress Housing Association and New Fylde Housing and has also secured Section 256 grant from the Department of Health in connection with a number of large Campus Resettlement Programmes on behalf of Progress Care Housing Association.
The most significant allocation received from the HCA was for New Fylde Housing to develop 111 units of new accommodation on the Heyhouses Estate in Lytham St. Annes.The 10.2million project involved a new build solution that included 75 two-bedroom flats, four bungalows for the over 65s, six four-bedroom houses and 23 three-bedroom family houses.
New Fylde Housing has also been successful in bidding for and taking up allocation from previous years which has enabled the Association to deliver a small new build scheme at Lower Lane, Freckleton.This scheme has been constructed to the highest possible environmental standards meeting the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3.The family homes were built using the latest design, materials and building methods to reduce their carbon footprint.
New Progress Housing Association continues to develop locally and the Development Team has been successful in securing HCA funds to develop much needed new build schemes in the Boroughs of South Ribble and Chorley.In addition to these grant funded schemes New Progress Housing Association has been able to deliver much needed accommodation through Section 106 agreements with a number of local developers and presently has a development programme of over 40 new units of accommodation as well as its long ongoing commitment to deliver 100 units of affordable housing on the Buckshaw Village site in partnership with Chorley Borough Council and South Ribble Borough Council.
The Development Team worked in partnership to deliver 590 units of staff residential accommodation for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.The accommodation is on four hospital sites in Lincolnshire and was a mix of bespoke designed new build accommodation and refurbishment of existing NHS accommodation.The total scheme cost was in excess of £20 million.
Progress Care Housing Association continues to develop bespoke new build schemes for a number of clients nationally as part of their Campus Reprovision Programmes, current programmes being developed are for the London Borough of Sutton, London Borough of Merton, Hampshire, Durham, Leicester, Doncaster and Nottingham.
