Investing in communities
We have always been about much more than bricks and mortar; we play a fundamental role in developing sustainable communities. We work with local communities to improve neighbourhoods.
Together we want to create areas where people want to live and work, now and in the future; places that are safe and inclusive, where residents have a strong voice in how their community is managed.
Our Property Services division is playing its part in reducing skills shortages within a number of construction trades.
We aim to make the area where we work better places to live.
Preventing and tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) continues to be a key priority for us and residents nationwide.
The Supporting People programme was launched in 2003 to provide a better quality of life for vulnerable people and to help them to live more independently and maintain their tenancies.
We put customers at the heart of our business. Residents are involved in all areas of our work to help us continuously improve the services that we deliver to them. We have dedicated Community Investment and Tenant Involvement teams and we are constantly developing new opportunities to further extend our customers’ role in decision-making processes.
Housing associations are making a major contribution to tackling worklessness amongst their residents and in the wider communities in which they work.
