Important information about grounds maintenance and grass cutting

You will be aware that in some of our areas the grass has not been cut as it should have been by this time of year.

We have been working with South Ribble Borough Council our contractor to resolve this matter and we are sorry that this has still not been done within an acceptable timescale. This was due to the breakdown of several grass cutting vehicles.

They will be commencing a catch up programme this week using their large triple cut mowers and following on with a second crew with cut and collect mowers.

There may be a slight delay of up to 2 days with collection of the grass cuttings, but due to the height of the grass we felt that this was the best option to restore service to normal.

We would again like to apologise for the poor level of service that you have experienced with this important service; we are working with South Ribble to ensure that this does not occur again and that suitable arrangements are made to cover these circumstances in future.
