New Progress

Foundations

Foundations and Inn2 is a New Progress managed scheme in the Avenham area of Preston for adults and young people experiencing homelessness. The two-storey building provides 22 self-contained flats and related support services.

The award-winning scheme, which opened in the summer of 2005, marked the first major partnership between Preston City Council and New Progress to create new housing. The government's Housing Corporation invested £2m in the project, with New Progress and Preston City Council jointly funding the remaining £364,000.

The scheme was officially opening in July 2006 by the Mayor of South Ribble and the Mayor of Preston .

Foundations is also the winner of the 'What we are proud of' Award at the Northern Regional Finals of the National Housing Federation's (NHF) annual Neighbourhood awards.
