Our CHS Accredited sheltered housing is available to all individuals and couples over the age of 55 who want to live independently but without the responsibilities of home ownership. Applicants under 60 must fulfil medical critieria for example by being in receipt of Disability Living Allowance.
Our scheme managers and mobile wardens provide on-site support for residents and our Property Services Division maintains properties and any communal areas.
We have flats and bungalows located on 24 developments throughout South Ribble. Type one properties have front doors that open to the street and type two properties are flats with a front door opening on to a shared corridor.
We also provide an Extra Care Scheme that offers additional support from on-site staff who can provide personal care as and when needed.
All accommodation is self-contained with most schemes having communal facilities. There are optional levels of support available. To meet our funding requirements, all residents are required to receive at least a minimum support package. Some residents receive a higher level of support than the minimum, depending upon their needs.
We currently have schemes in Longton, Farington, Leyland, New Longton, Lostock Hall, Bamber Bridge, Walton-le-Dale, Penwortham and Walmer Bridge.
