Broadfield Community Association

For residents of: Broadfield estate, Leyland

New Progress Housing is working in conjunction with the Broadfield Community Association to provide summer activities for children on the Broadfield estate.

Activities will take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 26th July to 18th August 2011 from 3pm to 5pm at Northbrook Primary School, Bannister Drive. Cost £1 per session. Book your place online at www.leylandproject.org.uk or call 01772 436200.

Other recent events lead by the association include the Respect week that took place over February half term in conjunction with South Ribble Borough Council and New Progress. The week saw a variety of events taking place, including Mums and Toddlers, Crime prevention, Dancing, Arts and Crafts and Football sessions.The highlight of the week was the ever growing ‘Community Fun afternoon’ that saw 200 local residents attend The Priory Club on Broadfield drive to take enjoy arts and crafts sessions, bouncy castle, face painting and lots of dancing and games. The association is growing by the day and it is fantastic the level of support and desire there is for the association to exist, as all participants felt it to be a step in the right direction for the estate.
