Students spread festive cheer
1 January 2011 - There were festive sing-a-longs, games of bingo and delicious mince pies at Ancenis Court sheltered housing scheme in Kirkham last week, as pupils from Carr Hill high school in Kirkham visited the residents to spread a little festive cheer.
There were festive sing-a-longs, games of bingo and delicious mince pies at Ancenis Court sheltered housing scheme in Kirkham last week, as pupils from Carr Hill high school in Kirkham visited the residents to spread a little festive cheer.
Teacher Mark Doherty and several pupils from Carr Hill high school entertained residents with carol singing and some dancing before sitting down to enjoy mince pies and a game of bingo.
Ancenis Court is a sheltered housing scheme, run by New Fylde Housing, which provides affordable housing for older people.
Gill Shaw, Sheltered Housing Coordinator for New Fylde Housing, said: “We are delighted with the generosity of the students. Our residents were overjoyed with the gifts and time they spent together.”
