We are looking for your feedback!
Would you like to see and be involved with a possible project to plant trees in and around your neighbourhoods?
Trees can make a street come to life, by attracting wildlife, changing colours throughout the seasons, and creating shade and shelter. They shield houses from traffic noise, can help save energy, and reduce the risk of flooding.
In the garden, native trees can create a haven for birds, other animals and insects, and encourage wildlife. In urban areas of England, trees can help reduce energy usage for heating and cooling by up to 10%. There is also evidence that trees in cities can also help fight the effects of air pollution and climate change.
At New Progress, we want to get involved in this national initiative to:
Help plant trees the neighborhoods where you live and work Involve your local community and benefit everyone living in it Plant individual street lines, small groups of trees in greenspaces, or other neighborhood tree planting. Create more green space in the areas that you live and work Let us know what you think about this possible project by emailing us or by completing our Big Tree Plant survey online.
