The latest contract is for Ribble Valley Homes to carry out gas servicing, repairs and installations at 876 homes over 20 months. Property Services negotiated the contract with Ribble Valley Homes after recently completing an installation contract over the last three years with them and gaining high levels of customer satisfaction
The Leyland-based Property Services is a division of Progress Housing Group. Its main work is to repair and maintain the group’s 7000 rented properties in the Lancashire area, and is also a leader in providing gas servicing and installation to other housing organisations, private customers and universities in Lancashire.
Since winning external business its contracts workforce almost doubled meaning an extra seven new jobs being created. The local economy has also benefited because Progress buys supplies and services locally whenever possible.
“We were delighted to be awarded this contract as it continues our success in providing good quality, cost effective services to outside customers.” said Dave Ashworth, Head of contracts, services and operations.
“We will continue to give a high quality service to our tenants, but we want a more diverse customer base over the North West,” added Dave.
Property Services won its first big external contract nine years ago and since then has carried out work totalling more than £3,000,000. This latest success will take this total to more than £3,700,000 with other contracts this year.
