Local residents are receiving advice about staying warm this winter thanks to the launch of a Winter Warmer campaign by Progress Housing Group.
Staff and senior managers at the housing group will be visiting around 600 residents across South Ribble, Chorley and Fylde throughout December and January offering advice on how they can heat their homes for less.
Staff will also be handing out free winter warmer packs with information on keeping warm and safe over the winter period, useful telephone numbers, a hand warmer and room thermostat.
Jacqui De Rose Chief Executive of Progress, said: “Everyone is aware keeping warm over the winter months is very important; by helping residents reduce their fuel costs we are not only saving them money but are looking after their wellbeing.”
Residents will also be able to make appointments with the group’s Financial Inclusion team who can offer advice on energy saving tips, affordable home contents insurance, savings and affordable loans, benefits and budgeting advice.
