Tenant Conference 2012
01 April 2012 - Progress Housing Group held its annual Tenant Conference on Sunday 25th March. The event was held at Ribby Hall and attended by over 100 delegates from across Lancashire, and brought together tenants and residents, staff, partner agencies and voluntary organisations.
The Conference was based around the theme of “Sustainable Communities” which reflected on the many changes affecting housing services and tenants.
The Conference also hosted a packed programme of workshops, speakers and an interactive question time session with Progress Housing Groups Managing Directors.
Guest speakers included the Chair of Progress Housing Groups Community Investment Fund, Chris Kushner and Managing Director of the Priority Estates Project (PEP) Nick Wigg, who spoke about the localism agenda and how residents can play a greater role within their communities
Jacqui De-Chief Executive of Progress Housing Group thanked everyone for attending another successful tenant conference: “Our annual Tenants’ Conference has become one of the highlights of our year. It’s always great to see some many of our residents turn up and show an interest and the feedback from them has been extremely positive.”
Mrs Woods from Bashall Grove in Leyland who attended the conference said: "It's been a really informative day and we've had a great laugh too. It's the first tenants' conference I've been too; I didn't expect it to be so informal.”
