Supported Housing

Progress Care tenantsProgress Care Housing Association provides over 500 supported housing units to 1500 tenants across the United Kingdom. We specialise in the provision of housing for people with mental health problems, learning and/or physical disabilities, and vulnerable young people.

Our expertise

Progress Care has considerable expertise in meeting the housing requirements of people with special needs:

•  We employ a dedicated supported housing team who ensure that our day-to-day management service is both efficient and sensitive to the needs of tenants and other organisations.

•  Our extensive experience of working with care commissioners and support providers enables us to deliver housing and support that accurately reflect the needs of service users.

•  We give advice on rent levels, benefit entitlements, funding and service management.

•  Our Development and Property Services sections tailor accommodation to provide the most appropriate environment for a particular tenant. We are keen to involve tenants and partner organisations in scheme design and development.

•  The commissioning authority is not tied to a particular support provider. Progress Care does not seek to provide care, but we do work effectively with others who do. This separation of care and support allows greater flexibility and the possibility of making changes to future service arrangements.

We strive to be the housing association that better understands the needs of our supported tenants and we are committed to providing our tenants with quality housing and support services that genuinely enhance their lives.

Shared ownership for people with learning disabilities
Shared ownership is an affordable alternative to renting a home or buying a property outright. It helps people who want to buy their own home but cannot afford to do so. To read more about shared ownership click here to be redirected to the relevant section of the website.
