16/10/2020 – New coronavirus restrictions announced for Lancashire
We understand from local and national media services that Lancashire will be entering tier 3 from midnight tonight (Friday 16 October). Currently, there is no immediate impact to our services to customers. However, there is a possibility that additional measures will be applied over the ‘base level’ tier three arrangements, so we will study all the announcements over the next few days and any updates which may affect services to tenants will be communicated on our website, on our social media channels and where necessary, communicated directly to tenants.

New restrictions have been imposed in several areas in which we operate. You can find more details on the Government Coronavirus website.
These are important new controls on our social lives, but they do not directly affect any of the services we provide to you, our customers, although in some areas the way you use your home may be restricted, such as communal areas (please see our FAQ section here). In most cases where local restrictions are in place, guidance stipulates that we can continue to access properties to undertake works.
We have said throughout this pandemic that we will work strictly within government guidance and that the health and safety of our colleagues and our customers is our top priority. This continues to be the case. We have effective, carefully thought through working procedures for all parts of our business. We will continue to ensure that these procedures are followed in full. We will also listen to any feedback that you give us, as customers and make sure that we act on in quickly where necessary.
As well as observing any local rules in force, the greatest contribution that any of us can make to the national effort against the virus is to follow the guidance which applies to everyone throughout the country, namely, washing hands regularly, maintaining a two-metre social distance wherever possible and wearing face masks in shops, on public transport and in other specified indoor spaces.
