Progress Housing Group, in partnership with Glendale’s grounds maintenance, is committed to providing continuity of our gardening and landscaping services to our estates and independent living schemes during these challenging times.

We have reviewed the services currently being provided and adhering strictly to government guidelines, the following services will continue at this time:

Grounds maintenance of main estates, communal open spaces to flats and independent living schemes which will include grass cutting, spraying and weeding of areas.

Our partnering contractor Glendale is assessing all of the works undertaken on a daily basis, which may mean applying some restrictions to work in some areas.

This is to ensure operatives are able to safely carry out the work whilst adhering to the social distancing rules set out by government. The grass cutting service will be less frequent than usual due to the impact on performance of new safer working practices including operating social distancing.

Our independent living schemes and communal gardens serving flats will not be accessible by residents whilst operatives are on site unless in the event of an emergency.

We would also ask our customers not to approach operatives working on site as to do so will compromise the social distancing measures we have put in place.

In relation to our independent living schemes, we are aiming to provide three days’ notice to all scheme coordinators of the intended commencement date of any works so that they can arrange for notices to be placed on noticeboards and on communal doors of schemes. This will be complemented by a personal reminder by the respective scheme coordinator when making their daily calls.
