Information for tenants in Scotland
As you may be aware, on the 2 November, the Scottish Government introduced COVID protection levels (sometimes known as tiers). The new measures can be applied nationally or locally, depending on the virus's risk level across Scotland. Each area has a COVID protection level. There are five different levels.
The Scottish Government has announced that from 26 December 2020, the whole of the Scottish mainland will be placed in level four, the highest level of protection. The Scottish Government continues to review these measures each week and we will notify you if anything changes.
Can I still arrange to have repairs undertaken?
The new guidance means that home visits by contractors should only be for ‘essential services’. We will continue to undertake any emergency health and safety repairs. However, we will be unable to carry out non-urgent repairs and services in this period. Non-urgent services include gardening and any planned maintenance. Any non-essential repairs will be scheduled once the restrictions are eased.
Health and Safety Compliance Work
Under level four restrictions, we can still undertake any emergency repairs and works essential for keeping your home safe. We have delivered a full compliance service throughout the pandemic, ensuring that essential safety checks and works are completed. It is important that you continue to allow us access to your homes; your cooperation and understanding is very much appreciated.
We will monitor any changes in government guidance. You can check the status of services we provide here: www.progressgroup.org.uk/coronavirus
