Background and experience

Nigel is a seasoned independent Non-Executive Director and chair with over 20 years of Board experience in commercial and not-for-profit sectors. He is a qualified banker with a professional career in building societies, retail banking and national payments systems. Since retiring from corporate life Nigel has undertaken a number of Non-Executive Director roles and built a thriving Change Management business.

His Non-Executive experience includes National Payments organisations, Housing and Care businesses, a Pension Fund and a high-profile charity and events business. He has undertaken various Vice Chair roles and numerous Committee Chair roles. His philosophy - seeing the big picture, choosing the right things to do and getting them done has helped to shape solid business strategies and created some innovative award-winning business models.

Skills

Nigel brings strong multi-sector corporate governance expertise and broad business and commercial skills. His specialist expertise includes leading large customer-facing operations and technology functions, engineering major structural change and orchestrating innovative marketing/product/service/channel strategies. He is well-versed in risk management, strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions.

Nigel enjoys gardening, golf, travel and spending time with his family.
