In March, Progress Housing Association acquired a site at Canberra Lane, Cottam which is in north Preston and entered into a development agreement with Countryside Properties to develop 68 units for Affordable Rent and shared ownership.

This development represents the largest single development that the Group has ever undertaken and although works have been slightly delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown, works are due to start once again commencing in May 2020 with final completions taking place in July 2021.

We are continuing to work to provide homes for the future, in areas that people want to live, that are affordable for families, couples and individuals.

Director of Development at Progress Housing Group, Dan Griffiths, said,

Our designs are developed in consultation with the relevant planning authority and comply with policy with regard to the delivery of quality open space and other community contributions.”

The delivery of this site in Cottam will play a crucial part in delivering the Group’s development strategy and is the culmination of many months of hard work by the Development Team working in partnership with both Homes England and Countryside Properties.
