We are delighted to have a group of tenants who volunteer their time to look at the services we provide from a tenant's perspective.
Our Tenants’ Voice – Improving Services group carries out a vital role to make sure:
  • our services meet the needs of our tenants
  • we provide good customer service
  • we meet the standards set by the Regulator of Social Housing

The group has helped to create this review to help others understand what they do, why they do it, and what they have achieved over the past year.

Here is what three of our involved tenants told us about why they get involved:

By being an involved tenant, I have new-found respect for housing staff. All the legislation that must be adhered to when writing policies is immense. Being an involved tenant has given me other opportunities, such as the Levelling up Committee and Four Million Homes. Who is involved?

Any tenant can join the Tenants' Voice – Improving Services group. 

We will provide help and training for anyone interested.  

An independent mentor, Jayne Boote of Engage for Change, provides tenants with guidance and support to make sure:

  • the right questions are asked
  • the right information is provided 
  • recommendations will make a positive change for tenants and the service

Over the next year, we will be carrying out a scrutiny review of two areas: the planned maintenance service and tenant communication.
