The Soup Dragon's Den is a way of community groups accessing our Community Investment Fund.
It is based on the BBC TV show Dragons Den, but friendlier and with soup. Six community groups who have applied for funding are invited to the event to "pitch" their project.
The evening starts by sharing a simple meal of soup and pudding, it's a great time to chat and meet friends - old and new.
The projects then make their "pitch" - when all the pitches have been heard everyone attending has the chance to vote for the winning project. No pitcher leaves empty handed though as there is a small amount of funding for the runners up too.
