Public consultation meeting on possible redevelopment plans for Lostock Hall Primary School site
Local residents are invited to attend a public consultation event next Wednesday 26th August from 3-6pm, to find out more about a possible new development of affordable homes for rent in Lostock Hall.
Progress Housing Group, a local housing provider, is currently assessing the viability of building 23 new homes for affordable rent on the site of the former Lostock Hall Primary School on Avondale Drive.
Staff from Progress Housing Group’s Development Team will lead the public consultation meeting being held at St James Church, Moss Lane, Lostock Hall, answering any questions residents may have about the plans for the possible development.
The area under consideration is on the site of the former school building and leaves the playing fields untouched and remaining the property of Lancashire County Council.
“We are currently assessing plans to take a vacated building and transform the site through a mix of high quality and much needed affordable houses. “It is important that local residents have the opportunity ask questions and raise any concerns they may have directly to us before any decisions are made.” Bernie Keenan, Executive Director of Housing, Community and Support Services at Progress Housing Group
