In May 2015, the Board finalised its 2020 Strategic Plan, setting out our business priorities and our six strategic aims which are explored in this year’s annual report. In a challenging operating environment, I am pleased that we have delivered successfully on the three strands of our vision which are homes, independence and opportunities.

Some of the key highlights in the report include:


In addition to providing 106 new homes for individuals and families, we carried out over 39,500 repairs to existing homes.


Our Progress Lifeline and Telecare services supported over 21,000 customers to maintain independence in their own homes.


Our nationally recognised Progress Futures service supported 37 people into employment, education, work experience or training and 74 others have been helped with CVs, job applications, voluntary roles and job preparation.

Achieving value for money remains an integral part of how we do business, and we have successfully delivered £1.2million in savings, outstripping our target for the year of £0.25million.

At a time when it is increasingly difficult to provide good quality homes and services and to manage external expectations, we are continuing to challenge ourselves to deliver. I am delighted that we have achieved high satisfaction levels, strong financial results and significant business growth, while achieving substantial value for money gains.

We are facing the future in an excellent position to deliver homes, independence and opportunities for our existing and future customers.
