Michelle Stevenson, Executive Director (Legal and Governance) of national housing provider, Progress Housing Group, has been shortlisted in the Institute of Directors’ 2016 North West Director of the Year awards.

The North West Director of the Year awards recognise directors from across the region who are innovative and inspiring leaders.

Michelle joined Lancashire-based Progress Housing Group in 2010 following 10 years as a solicitor in private practice specialising in property and social housing.  Since that time Michelle has developed and led the in-house legal and governance teams within the Group.

The Institute of Directors’ 2016 Director of the Year Awards are awarded to the best directors in a variety of fields, from digital and creative, pharmaceutical, property, retail and social enterprises with categories including director of the year in science and innovation, corporate responsibility, family business, global director and young director.

Michelle Stevenson was announced as a finalist in the Public Sector/Third Sector Director of the Year category this week, with the winners to be announced at an awards ceremony in Manchester on Thursday 25 February 2016.
