For the fourth year running we will be teaming up with the National Citizen Service (NCS) by organising and facilitating various challenges.

What is NCS?

It is a youth empowerment programme that helps 15 to 17 year olds to make extraordinary friendships, learn the skills they don’t teach you in class and create unforgettable memories.

How does Progress Housing Group get involved?

During the summer we will be setting challenges for the young people from the NCS to complete. These challenges are to take place in some of our independent living and supported housing schemes and general needs communities.

How can you help?

Once we have the dates finalised we will let you know so that you can come along and join in and support the young people. Look out on our Facebook page, website and in your local community centres for information.

Over the past few years we have completed some amazing projects which have made a difference to people’s lives. Last year’s projects ranged from building a greenhouse at Derby House independent living scheme in Wesham to a drama event being held at Old Mill Court in Walmer Bridge.

Get on the Programme?

Progress Housing Group’s Community Investment Panel supports this project, and offers free places to young tenants to take part in the programme.

If someone you know lives in a Progress Housing Group property, is aged between 15-17 and would like to take part in this year’s NCS programme, then please contact our Progress Opportunities Team on 03333 204555 for help and support in applying.
