Progress Housing Group attends the Learning Disability England conference
The Challenge of Change: Different days: Different ways
Members of staff from our Supported Living and Progress Lifeline Teams are today exhibiting at the Learning Disability England (LDE) Challenge for Change Conference in Birmingham.
This is the first time that we have exhibited at the event and we are looking forward to talking to Chief Executives and Operations Directors from housing and care providers, commissioners, families and academics about some of our innovative housing solutions such as supported living for people with learning disabilities. As well as promoting our Progress Lifeline Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS).
Learning Disability England (LDE) is a membership organisation that brings together people with learning disabilities their families and friends, care providers and service commissioners, learning disability, development and training organisations.
Progress Housing Group is one of the organisations that helped set up LDE, whose aim is to change attitudes towards people with learning disabilities and to help them have their voices heard - with this voice we can shout about the things that matter, like equal rights, better lives and making sure that there is enough funding for supported housing for people with learning disabilities.
The overriding theme of this year’s LDE conference is ‘change’ and will showcase great ideas within the sector and celebrate innovation abounds during cash-strapped times, whilst not shying away from the reality that things can be difficult.
