Last year Key helped more than 1,000 local people take control of their lives.

From helping people to resolve their housing difficulties, find employment and improve their emotional health and wellbeing…..and more. We’re there when Lancashire needs us.

If you are passionate about giving something back to the community, know your way around a spreadsheet, have legal or entrepreneurship skills, you could join our growing, bold charity.

In return for 15-20 hours of your time a year, you would get a step on the governance ladder towards paid roles, exciting networking opportunities and ongoing training within our £74 million turnover partner company, Progress Housing Group. Plus the satisfaction of knowing your skills are making a significant difference to the lives of others.

For an informal chat (we like informal at Key), contact our Chair, Lynne Cubbin, via the Governance Team, on 01772 450886 or   We are particularly keen to hear from people who might otherwise not think a board is for them, or are interested in their first governance role. We are diverse in our offer and our customer base, and strongly feel our board should reflect that.

Last year more than 99% of those we helped rated us as good or excellent and 100% of stakeholders would recommend us. You giving us 100% of your skills can help us build on that and build lives.  They trust us and we need trustees. Will you help?

You can download the role description and person specification here and application form here.  Please return the application form with a copy of your CV and a statement (maximum two sides of A4 typed in Arial 11 font) detailing your suitability for the role.
