Progress Housing Group has entered into a partnership with the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service to ensure the highest level of fire safety for its customers throughout its 10,000 properties.

Known as a Primary Authority Scheme (PAS), the Group will receive assured and tailored advice on all of the latest fire safety guidance and regulations. Before the partnership was agreed, the Group was required to undergo a vetting process to show the Lancashire Fire Service that it already had strong fire safety measures in place.

“The safety of the people living in our homes is very important to us. This partnership with the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service will give us confidence and certainty about fire safety, as well as access to the latest expert advice and guidance so that our customers can continue to feel safe in their homes.” Gary Melia, Operations Director at Progress Housing Group

Tony Crook from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, said: “Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is delighted to be acting as Primary Authority to Progress Housing Group. We understand the high importance Progress Housing Group puts on the safety of its customers and we look forward to acting as their main point of contact for fire safety.”
