Fixing the housing crisis with the National Housing Federation (1)
Progress Housing Group joins national housing campaign
The National Housing Federation (NHF) launched a nation-wide week of action, starting 25 November 2019, calling for the new government to fix the housing crisis for good. As part of this, housing associations across the country, including Progress Housing Group, are shining a spotlight on their impactful work and giving a voice to their residents.
The sector is calling for the next government to invest £12.8bn in new social housing every year for a decade. This would unlock tens of thousands of new social homes across the country, as well as supporting the economy and lowering the benefit bill.
The NHF want the next government to work with us to fix the housing crisis for good, by committing to five housing priorities:
1. Build new social housing
2. Make sure everyone
3. Invest in places to bring
4. Deliver a new deal for social housing
5. Develop a fair and effective support
Progress Housing Group is supporting the campaign in the lead up to the next General Election on the 12 December 2019.
