Progress Housing Group achieves NICEIC accreditation
Progress Housing Group's Electrical Team achieves NICEIC accreditation for another year.
On 30 July 2020, the Group's Electrical Team was assessed by the NICEIC and was found to be 'a competent contractor that can continue to deliver electrical work for the Group to a high standard.'
The NICEIC stands for National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting and is the leading voluntary organisation in the UK for the electrical industry.
On an annual basis, the NICEIC carries out a rigorous audit to make sure that all contractors, including Progress Housing Group's Property Services Team, is able to carry out electrical work to a high standard. The audit includes checking paperwork (electrical certificates), interviewing those with responsibility for managing and monitoring all electrical work and attending site visits to monitor the work being carried out.
The audit took place on the 30 July, with the Group's Electrical Operations Manager, Carl Chapman, and Electrical Team Leader, Tony Griffiths, being put through their paces by the NICEIC inspector.
The inspector was impressed with the knowledge and experience of Carl and Tony, and the result is a fantastic testament to the knowledge and experience of our Electrical Team.
After the audit, the inspector for the NICEIC said, “Both Carl and Tony demonstrated good technical knowledge and were able to evidence they have all the competencies required to manage electrical work on behalf of the Group.
"They demonstrated good overall systems of operation and controls in place and they demonstrated positive and proactive practices in striving to provide good system compliance.”
