Our plans to deliver new homes for supported living
Our Director of Development, Dan Griffiths, gives us an update on our exciting and ambitious plans to support the growth of affordable housing in the North, and introduces our plans to expand delivery of supported living accommodation.
"We have a commitment to develop more than 1,000 new affordable homes over the next five years. We've made a good start and we're increasing our business development output.
"We remain fully committed to the ongoing delivery of supported living accommodation. To maintain our status as one of the leading providers in the country, 30% of new homes delivered through our Development Strategy will be for this needs category.
"To provide specific focus on delivery of supported living, we are pleased to confirm that Nicola Byrne has been successfully recruited as our new Head of Development for Supported Living.
"I’m sure you will join me in congratulating Nicola on this success."
Nicola has worked for Progress Housing Group for over 15 years and has a wealth of experience in both supported living and housing and development management. Nicola will focus on business development, building and maintaining relationships and identifying opportunities to deliver more homes, of the right quality, and in the right places so that people can live independently in their own home and enjoy a good quality of life.
Alongside Development Director Dan Griffiths, Nicola will join Nick Stevenson, our Head of Development and Sales (General Needs) in leading and managing the Development Team. Nick will be focused on delivery of Affordable Rent, Social Rent, and Shared Ownership.
This year Progress Housing Group celebrates their 25 year anniversary. During this time we have remained true to our belief that everyone has the right to a decent home and have helped thousands of people find a good-quality home in a safe and pleasant neighbourhood.
