In order to enhance support for our customers, we have recently become a member of Refernet. This ‘one stop shop’ offers access to a range of free, confidential and impartial advice, facilitated by Citizen’s Advice Lancashire West.

This forms part of the Better, Together partnership and the initiative is branded ‘one front door’. It brings together numerous partners working collaboratively to improve the services and opportunities available to South Ribble, Chorley and Preston residents.

The support available from Refernet includes:

• Benefits & debt advice
• Employment advice (including training)
• Community support
• Befriending services
• Support for asylum seekers and refugees.

How to access support and advice from Refernet

A full list of support is available on the Refernet website. Tenants looking for support from Refernet can self-refer or our Progress Connect Team can refer you.

The partnership is currently only available to residents in the South Ribble, Chorley and Preston areas (we are exploring options for other areas) and you don’t have to be a tenant of Progress Housing Group to access the support available.

For Progress Housing Group tenants seeking more information about Refernet, please speak to the Progress Connect Team via webchat, by emailing enquiries@progressgroup.org.uk, or by calling 03333 204 555.
