As part of our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, we have selected Aberla Energy, part of the North West based Aberla Group, as our specialist energy contractor for the next three years.

Aberla is an industry-leading solar PV maintenance and installation service provider.

Mark Harrington, Compliance Manager, explains, 'Our focus as an organisation is to improve the quality of housing for our residents, and this project allows us to do exactly that. We were impressed with Aberla Energy's experience and look forward to working with them.'

Adele Livesey, Operations Director, added," Ensuring that our solar PV panels are in good working order and well maintained is key to ensuring that our customers continue to benefit from cleaner and cheaper energy whilst helping the Group work towards the UK's net zero carbon targets."

Paul McCarren, Chief Executive Officer at Aberla said, "As the cost of renewable technologies continues to fall, it's encouraging to see organisations such as Progress Housing Group invest in solar PV. Residents in Lancashire and Lincolnshire will benefit from powering their homes with cleaner and cheaper energy, reducing their dependence on fossil fuels and energy generated from the grid."

Aberla's team is due to start the project in Spring 2021, with the programme due to be completed by October 2023.
