Celebrating Supported Housing with Starts at Home
We are delighted to be supporting Starts at Home Day
Starts at Home Day will take place for the fifth time on Friday 3 September 2021, and this year, its organiser, The National Housing Federation, wants Starts at Home Day to be a national day of action where their members and campaign supporters come together to:
- Showcase the value of supported housing.
- Recognise the services and contribution that supported housing staff make to people’s lives during the pandemic.
- To secure funding for long-term support for those who need it to settle into and thrive in their tenancy.
Progress Housing Group is one of the largest providers of supported living accommodation in the country for people with a learning disability, autism, or long-term ill mental health, providing high-quality housing solutions to help over 2,844 people remain independent in their homes.
For Starts at Home Day this year, we're honoured to share our tenants' stories about what supported housing means to them.
We've also got some exciting news about our Supported Housing provision as we've recently announced that Reside Housing Association will soon join Progress Housing Group
We are delighted that Reside Housing Association will be joining us from 1 October 2021.
Progress Housing Group owns or manages more than 3,100 supported living tenancies and Reside owns or manages around 1,450.
Together, we will play a major part in meeting the huge need for high-quality supported living accommodation. Our partnership will enable us to deliver more new homes and to invest in even better services for our customers. We believe that this partnership will be a significant and welcome development for the sector.
The combined organisation has set itself the goal of becoming the leading provider of supported living accommodation, particularly for people with a learning disability or autism, in the country.
As Reside with Progress, we look forward to supporting more people to live their best lives, promoting independence and supporting social care commissioning.
