Double award nomination for our Support Services and Allocations Team
We are delighted that our Support Services and Allocations Team has been nominated for two prestigious awards for their work supporting vulnerable tenants.
They have been shortlisted for excellence in customer service awards in the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Northern Awards, and also in the Lancashire Business View Red Rose Awards.
Progress Housing Group's Housing Operations Director, Robert Porter, said, "We are honoured that our work supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities is being recognised by two such highly-regarded awards events.
"Over the last 18 months, our Support Services and Allocations Team has provided essential support to domestic abuse victims, people who are homeless, tenants under financial pressure and other customer groups that have needed specific support.
"The team has worked tirelessly to ensure that those needing help have received it, and made sure that our customers have a safe, warm home that they can be happy in. So it's wonderful, and I'm so proud of the team, that their invaluable work providing support in our communities, especially for some of our most vulnerable customers with complex needs, is being recognised."
Support Services and Allocations Team Manager, Susan Winrow, added,"I am incredibly proud to work with such a dedicated team, whose support and help really does change the lives of our most vulnerable customers."
About the awards

The Red Rose Awards is the event where Lancashire business, commerce and industry are celebrated. It provides the best possible platform to promote success, and to encourage inter-trading in the county.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 25 November at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. You can find out more about the awards and the finalists on the Lancashire Business View Red Rose Awards website.
Congratulations also to Progress Lifeline!
Progress Lifeline's Emergency Home Response service has also been shortlisted as a finalist at the CIH Northern Awards for their partnership work with the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to create an improved service for people who fall but who are uninjured, enabling ambulances and paramedics to focus on emergency call-outs and dramatically decreasing the pressure on ambulance services.
