We are delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted as finalists for two awards at this year’s Northern Housing Awards!

The Group has been recognised for the work of our employment and training programme, Progress Futures, which supports people into training and employment, and for our tenant involvement work which gives our tenants the opportunity to have a say in the way that we provide our services, as well as provision of our community investment and emergency funds.

The two awards we have been shortlisted for are:

•     Best Resident Involvement Initiative
•     Best Resident Employment/Training Initiative of the Year

Head of Operations, Kirsty Ellis, said: "We are absolutely thrilled that the Northern Housing Awards judges have recognised our Progress Involvement and Progress Futures Teams.

“Our employment and training support, delivered by our Progress Futures Team, helps tenants and their families’ access training, apprenticeships and employment support to improve their job prospects and achieve their goals. And our community involvement work really does put our tenants at the heart of our services and decision-making, offering a number of ways for our tenants to make an incredibly valuable contribution to how our services are run – which makes our homes and communities better places to live.

“It’s great that both teams’ hard work, and the difference they make to our tenants, is being recognised in this way.”

The winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on Thursday 13th May 2021. Good luck teams!
