Kind gesture helps spread Easter cheer to tenants
Kind gesture helps spread Easter cheer across our communities in Lancashire.
The last year has been really difficult for lots of people, particularly for our more vulnerable tenants who have been shielding. There are a lot of people, old and young, who are feeling isolated and missing contact with friends and family.
As we approach Easter, we wanted to spread a little Easter cheer amongst our communities. So, over the last few days, we have been busy delivering Easter eggs!
All residents living in our Independent Living schemes for residents aged 55 and over have received an Easter treat. We have also distributed a supply of Easter eggs to community groups operating from our community centres to be shared with the families they support.
We were delighted to receive the support of Consortia Integrated Services Limited, who generously donated 300 chocolate eggs.
Consortia, one of our contractors based in Liverpool, specialises in communal heating systems at our independent living schemes, and they were keen to be involved with the Easter treats for our independent living customers.
Paula, Business Support Manager at Consortia, said: “It was a pleasure for Consortia to donate Easter eggs to the independent living tenants. I thoroughly enjoyed helping deliver the eggs with Diane and her team.”
Diane, Progress Involvement Manager for Progress Housing Group, was among the Progress colleagues distributing the donated Easter eggs at our tenants' front doors this week. Diane said: “It was lovely to be able to drop off a little Easter treat for some of our customers. There were lots of happy faces as we did the doorstep drop-off!”
