Aspiring homeowners in Preston are eagerly awaiting the completion of a development of stunning homes being built close to the beautiful, rural village of Garstang.

The development, named Oak Hill Rise, is being built by local housing developer Baxter Homes and is situated within the landscaped grounds of Garstang Golf Club in Bowgreave, Garstang, just minutes from the centre of Garstang and close to the Forest of Bowland.
Progress Housing Group will acquire 24 of the newly-built properties, of which eight will be two and three-bedroom shared ownership houses, eight two-bedroom flats and eight, two and three-bedroom houses for affordable rent. The first set of completed homes will be handed over to Progress Housing Group in August, with the remainder of the homes completing in December this year.
Under the shared ownership initiative, the two-bedroom homes will be available from £172,500 based on a 40-75% share, while the three-bedroom homes for the same percentage share are available at £264,690. Shared ownership allows those wanting to get or stay on the housing ladder to buy a percentage (between 25% and 75%) of their new home and pay rent on the rest. Progress Housing Group owns part of the house, but the buyer will be living there, decorating it, and deciding when to sell it.
The affordable homes for rent will be advertised on the SelectMove website.
