Progress Housing Group joins Lancashire's Typhoons RUFC for club photoshoot

Progress Housing Group was delighted to join Typhoons RUFC at the club’s home ground, Preston Grasshoppers, recently, for their annual club and sponsors photoshoot.

The Group’s Deputy Executive Director, Tammy Bradley, joined the Typhoons for the photos, met the club’s players and even got to have a quick ‘throw about’ with some of the team!

The photoshoot comes after the Group recently announced their sponsorship of the Typhoons through their corporate sponsorship and charity fund, and will be supporting the club for their 2020-21 rugby season.

Tammy Bradley, Deputy Executive Director at Progress Housing Group, said, “I was delighted to meet the Typhoons recently to find out more about the inclusive ethos of the club, experience the welcoming environment there, and meet some of the other sponsors and the players.

“As a social housing provider, we recognise the positive impact we have on our society and our part to play in addressing inequalities. We are committed to supporting our local communities by investing in projects and activities that do this, and we are looking forward to working more closely with the Typhoons.”

Kris Barber-Midgley, Sponsorship and Development Officer for Typhoons RUFC, added, “We were delighted that Progress Housing Group could join us for the photoshoot and that the Group are sponsoring our touch rugby team this season.

“The support from our sponsors such as Progress Housing Group is invaluable to the club. Our members come from all strands of diversity; LGBTQ+, straight, male, female, trans, those with disabilities, and from many backgrounds.

“With the help of supporters like Progress, and the club’s welcoming and inclusive ethos as well as the commitment and hard work of the players, the Typhoons have now grown from six members from its launch in 2018, to over 70 members in 2021.

“We’re so proud of the friendly, supportive culture we have created and how our club now engages with the community.”
