Despite the limitations of the COVID-19 restrictions, our tenants and customers have still been able to enter our annual tenant gardening and sunflower growing competition, Progress in Bloom.

We were delighted to have received 49 entries from our tenants and customers, including our community centres. Thank you to everyone who entered! We’ve seen some beautiful gardens, pots, balconies, and green spaces, in your entries.

Once again, this year’s Progress in Bloom celebration took place over Zoom. With all the competition, entrants invited to join us to celebrate the wonderful work carried out by our green-fingered tenants. The awards were hosted and presented by Jacqui De-Rose, Progress Housing Group’s Chief Executive. Guest speakers during the event included previous competition winners and Barbara and David, who help run local community groups, Leyland, in Bloom and Friends of Paradise Park.

All entries into the competition will receive a certificate and a £20 national gardening voucher.

Sunflower growing competition
Well done to Lawrence for growing a fantastic 29 inches or 74 cm sunflower and winning this year’s sunflower competition.
Thank you again to everyone who entered; it was a pleasure to receive your photographs and videos. I am sure everyone will agree there are some fantastic gardens out there!
