A fond farewell to Kickstart employee Abdul
Everyone at Progress Housing Group wishes Abdul luck as he completes his placement with us.
Abdul is a tenant and was one of our Kickstart employees who was brought in to gain trade experience within the Voids Team and see how we work here at Progress Housing Group.
After six months with the team, he has now completed his placement and he is looking forward to his next opportunity in the joinery trade.
Abdul tells us: "I have learnt so many skills being a Trade Operative with Progress Housing Group and I have really enjoyed it. The team is really helpful and I thank you all for your help."
It was an absolute pleasure having Abdul in our team. He learnt multiple trades with a variety of tradesmen and really took his hand to joinery, so much so when asked what he'd like to be in the future he said: "I like doing joinery so I'd like to work towards that."
Voids Team Leaders Jamie Smith and Richard Hough say: "Our Voids tradesmen have been a credit to Progress Housing Group, taking Abdul out to all different types of voids in major disrepair and teaching him the ins and outs of their day to day life on voids, with Abdul learning skills throughout the process.
"We gave Abdul a well-deserved send off at Berry's training room with the team gathering to wish him all the best for his future. We also presented Abdul with a few parting gifts and a card from the Voids Team."
Charlene Scarff, Project Support Officer, says: "It has been a pleasure supporting Abdul through his Kickstart role. Abdul is such a friendly chap and he is determined to do well in life and his career. Abdul has learnt so many skills throughout his role and I wish him every success in his future."
