What happened when some of our colleagues challenged tenants at Tuson House in Kingsfold to darts, pool, and horse racing?

The activities were a great way for the Facilities Team to get together, as well as take part in worthwhile volunteering within our independent living community.

Dawn Motts, Facilities Manager, said: "As our team work different shifts and didn't feel part of anything, we wanted a good team building exercise. We came up with challenging the tenants at Tuson House to darts, pool, dominoes, and table-top horse racing.

"The team really enjoyed it, mixing with the tenants and it has been a really good afternoon."

Natalie Vos, Domestic Assistant, said: "It's been brilliant. I enjoyed the horse racing and it was really good seeing everyone get involved. It has been nice seeing the tenants and where they live in the community. It has also been great getting together as a team."

Mary Bevan, Domestic Assistant, said: "The atmosphere has been really good and the tenants have been really welcoming. I think it is a really good initiative to volunteer within our tenant community."

Tenants also enjoyed themselves and had fun cheering on the horses and beating our colleagues at dominoes.

Myra said: "It's been good fun, I really enjoyed the horse racing. That was the first time I had done that."
