Following our Community Chat initiative's successful pilot last year, we have continued this by visiting Spring Gardens in Leyland.

Our teams spoke to residents and tenants, asking how happy they were with Progress Housing Group as a landlord and what they liked and didn't like about living in the area.

Almost all the tenants were more than happy with our services, but were also able to tell us about some issues.  We will use this information to help deliver improvements in that area

One tenant praised the online tenant account*, saying: "I use the online tenant account to pay my rent and report repairs; it's great."

Susan Jones, Area Housing Officer, said: "It was lovely to meet the tenants at Spring Gardens and have a face to face chat. It gave me the opportunity to put a voice to a face. It has also given me the chance to listen and take on board any feedback about the area and look at what we can do to make improvements. I look forward to many more Community Chats."

Diane Nash, Progress Involvement Manger, commented: "It is always good to get out and meet tenants and residents. As they say, "it's good to talk", and our Community Chats are definitely proof of this. We met some lovely tenants and residents at Spring Gardens. The information they provided will be used by the Area Housing Team to develop plans to make improvements to the area. An update on what is planned will be fed back to the tenants who took part, so they can see how they have helped make a difference in their community.

"We also had the bonus of being able to nominate some lovely gardens into our Progress in Bloom gardening competition we saw on our way; there were some real gems."
