Our priority is making sure you feel safe in your homes.

We know that anti-social behaviour (ASB) can have a disruptive and damaging effect on individuals and communities.

Our Tenants’ Voice group recently scrutinised our Community Safety Service.

David Prew, Community Safety Specialist Manager, gives us an update:

“It was great to work with the Tenants’ Voice group to gain valuable feedback on our service.

“We discussed topics such as the ease of reporting ASB, the level of ASB information on our website, ensuring our letters use 'plain English', and regularly keeping tenants updated throughout their ASB case. This feedback will enable us to make positive changes to the service.

“Our community safety service has undergone a number of other reviews to improve our service.

“Some of these things include looking at value for money and focusing on the tenant's journey through an ASB case, from first reporting ASB, to case management, and customer satisfaction upon closure of a case.”

  • Our community safety service is delivered by our Housing Operations Teams.
  • We have specialist community safety officers (CSO) sitting within each Area Team to manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases from low-level ASB to more persistent and serious cases which require legal intervention.
  • The service also manages non-compliance cases, where tenants have continually failed to provide access to essential gas and electrical inspections and servicing. We have recently seen an increase in these 'no access' cases, with more than double the number of cases compared to two years ago.
