Children enjoy Mother's Day crafts at Lower Lane Community Centre
We saw lots of love and creativity at Lower Lane Community Centre as we invited children to make Mother’s Day cards for their mums.
The youngsters had fun with glitter and stickers as they made cards ahead of Sunday.
They also selected a special gift for mum from a selection of items donated by local tenants, residents and Progress Housing Group colleagues.
Iain Martin, Area Housing Manager for Fylde East, said: “We wanted to make use of the community centre and invite children to do some crafts for Mother’s Day.
“The children were also able to pick a present for their mum for a small donation, giving them a little bit of independence.
“It was a great turn out and we hope the children had as much fun as we did.
“Thank you to everyone to donated items – I am sure the mums will love their gifts!”
The children had a blast, getting messy with glitter and making their mums proud.
Young Theo told us: “I had fun. I liked making cards and picking a present.”
One mum, Lyndsey said: “It is nice that the children have something today. They love crafts, so it is a really nice idea.”
- Our Area Housing and Community Involvement teams have more events planned this year.
- There will be an Easter egg hunt at the centre on Thursday 6 April, from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.
