Scarecrow Competition

In total we had 34 entries, as our scarecrow competition was split into two parts:

  • A Scarecrow Trail in partnership with Leyland in Bloom, local businesses and community groups. This was held in the Leyland and Farington area, over August Bank Holiday weekend and was judged by the visitors to the festival voting for their top three scarecrows. Read more about this event here: Bringing communities together - Leyland and Farington Scarecrow Trail
  • Scarecrows entered by RWP tenants from across the country.

We asked tenants and colleagues to vote for their favourite scarecrows from this year.

The winners are:

  • Scary Crow
  • Sponge Bob SquarePants
  • Dorothy and Friends
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
  • Lady Cappa de Chino and Lord Latte Barrista de Bucke
  • He’s got the whole world

There were two scarecrow art entries this year, who will both receive a certificate and prize.
