Group Chief Executive to take part in charity sleep out
Our Group Chief Executive, Jacqui De-Rose, will be sleeping under the stars to raise money and awareness to help people facing homelessness in Lancashire.
The sponsored sleep out has been organised by our charity partner, Key Unlocking Future, which supports people in crisis and helps them to find secure accommodation and employment.
The event is taking place on Friday, 12 May at Lancashire Football Association in Leyland. Joining Jacqui will be other members of our leadership team, along with colleagues and friends of the Group and Key Unlocking Futures.
Jacqui De-Rose said: "On the 12 May, I will be taking part in Key Unlocking Futures Big Sponsored Sleep Out and spending a night sleeping outdoors to shine a spotlight on the issue of homelessness in the area."
"I know this experience will not be what it is truly like for people who are homeless and are forced to sleep outside, but I want to play my part and help raise awareness of this growing issue.
"The number of people sleeping rough has increased, and it is important to me that I help to highlight this upsetting issue and help raise much-needed funds for Key Unlocking Futures, which supports our customers and people across Lancashire who are dealing with or facing homelessness."
Key Unlocking Futures is based in Leyland, Lancashire and has been a lifeline for people for almost 30 years, helping those in crisis to get back on their feet and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
Key Unlocking Futures joined the Group in 2014 and together provide homeless accommodation and support services, women's refuges for women and children fleeing domestic abuse and community centres providing a community cafe and shop.
