How we support our communities
Supporting our communities is important to us as we want to ensure you are happy in the areas you live.
Our Area Housing Officers and Neighbourhood Caretakers carry out regular walkabouts around our estates where we make sure your local areas look appealing and are functioning well. It is also your opportunity to speak to our officers about any issues you may have, including anti-social behaviour.
We also organise community clean up days where volunteers work together to help clean up the area. Read about our most recent clean up day here: Thank you to our volunteer litter pickers in Kingsfold
We work in close partnership with a range of external partners, including local policing teams and borough councils, to create positive communities and tackle anti-social behaviour.
As part of our commitment to support young people, we help fund youth projects in our community centres in the South Ribble and Fylde areas through our Community Investment Fund. You read more here: We award Shape Lancashire more than £12,000 from our Community Investment Fund

We are also a Founding Patron of Chorley’s Inspire Youth Zone, which provides activities for young people aged between eight and 19, and up to 25 for those with a disability.
David Prew, Community Safety Manager, says: “We believe in building stronger communities that work together to take pride of the areas they live.
“We want our tenants and residents to feel empowered to look out for each other and report anti-social behaviour.
“The work we do in the community builds on this and goes some way to creating happy and safe places to live.”
