Independent living tenants have fun at Easter party
There was plenty of singing and dancing as independent living tenants enjoyed a social gathering at Our Lady and St Gerard’s Parochial Centre in Lostock Hall.
After a delicious two-course meal, tenants were entertained by singer Paul Scholey.
There was also a raffle and four tenants paraded their Easter bonnets.
The ticketed event, organised by Julie at Our Lady and St Gerard’s Parochial Centre, and supported by Progress Housing Group, allowed our tenants to socialise and meet people from other independent living schemes.
Tenant Jorgette said: “I always enjoy coming to this event and the meal is always good. I think it is a good deal for tenants. It is really good of St Gerard’s Parochial Centre and Progress Housing Group to organise this. I loved the raffle and the entertainment. I want to thank everyone who organised this for us.”
Another tenant, Brenda told us: “It has been really good and the atmosphere has been great. This event is organised quite regularly and so you get to know people, which is really nice.”
Diane Nash, Progress Involvement Manager, who helped tenants to book on the event, said: “These social gatherings are organised regularly by Julie at Our Lady and St Gerard’s Parochial Centre and our independent tenants love going. They are already asking about the next one.
“It is a great way for tenants to meet each other and reduce social isolation, and we thank Julie and the team at St Gerard’s for all their hard work.”
