We listen to our tenants’ concerns, especially surrounding anti-social behaviour.

So when Linda and Mick informed us they were experiencing issues with people congregating on the large communal space behind their bungalow in Penwortham, we installed a fence. This work was part of our You said, we did commitment.

Elaine, Area Housing Officer for Central West, said: “Linda and Mick’s bungalow backs onto flats with a large communal space in between. For some time they had been experiencing issues with the area being used as a cut through. People were congregating, drinking, and generally being a nuisance. The area was pitch black in the dark and they were worried about this.

“I spoke with the residents in the area about these issues, but they continued.

“Our next step was to discuss other options with Linda and Mick. They asked if a fence could be put up dividing the area. As part of our You said, We did work, we made that happen.

“I kept them both updated on our progress and I believed they celebrated when the fence was put up."
