We are recruiting non-executive directors
Join our board and make a difference
Progress Housing Group is a strong organisation, which has developed significantly in the 25+ years since its creation in 1994. We now have a portfolio of over 10,000 homes across the country and a diverse range of business streams, serving over 78,000 tenants and customers.
With some established board members due to retire in the next eighteen months we are looking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced individuals as part of our succession planning. We expect that these non-executive appointments will bring fresh ideas and a commitment to the Group’s vision and values.
We have a vacancy for a Chair of our Audit Committee.
This is a particularly important role and we are keen to attract applications from individuals with a strong background in audit, finance and risk. You will bring substantial board experience and a track record in Audit/Risk committees either as a chair or committee member. Recent and relevant financial experience at a strategic level including knowledge of current financial reporting standards, corporate governance best practice and the current debate around audit quality and delivery is expected. As part of the role, you will also be appointed as a non-executive director on our registered provider boards.
The Group is committed to being fully inclusive and therefore we encourage applications from people with the widest possible diversity of backgrounds, cultures and experiences. We particularly welcome applications from people with Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, candidates with disabilities and younger people as they are underrepresented on the board.
The remuneration for sub-committee chairs will be £8,243 per annum from September 2021.

The closing date for all applications is 10am on Friday 29 October 2021
Interviews will be held week commencing 8 November 2021 via Zoom Cloud Meetings.
